Concussions
What is a concussion
A concussion is a head injury resulting from a direct or indirect trauma to the head/neck region. It does not have to involve contact of the head with surface. It can result from sports, car accidents, falls, neck injuries, etc. It can but does not always result in a loss of consciousness. Some resulting symptoms may include: headaches, dizziness, vision disturbances, abnormal cardiovascular response to exercise, fatigue, light/sound sensitivity, balance loss, weakness.
